ESXi6のWebUI(VMware Host Client)ではユーザーを作成できても、ロールを変更することが出来ません。そのため、ユーザーに管理権限を付与するにはsshで接続してesxcliコマンドを使う必要があります。 Continue reading

ThinkPad X220とUbuntu18.04 Desktopで指紋認証を有効にするには、fingerprint-guiとfprintdをインストールします

2020-1-6 修正 fingerprint-guiが良さげなので入れてみる

インストールすると設定のユーザーから指紋認証ログインが選べるようになります

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fingerprint/fingerprint-gui

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install fprintd libpam-fprintd fingerprint-gui policykit-1-fingerprint-gui
